O.W.L. was the vision of Chicago artist & musician Stephen Titra. Formed in 1969 after splitting off with long time bandmates & friends in Mountain Bus, Titra developed & pursued the inspired, inward looking music of O.W.L. for roughly half a decade. At the behest of Universal Studios head, Murray Allen, Titra cut one O.W.L. record in 1972.
